MobiKwik unveils ‘Pocket UPI’ for payments without linking bank account

Fintech company MobiKwik has launched a new feature called ‘Pocket UPI’ that allows users to make UPI payments through MobiKwik Wallet without linking their bank account. This feature aims to simplify and consolidate UPI transactions for users.

Users can load their Wallet with the amount they need to spend and then top up as required. The platform supports balance loading through credit cards, debit cards, or UPI. MobiKwik’s Co-founder and CEO, Bipin Preet Singh, stated, “With Pocket UPI, we believe that we have added new features to the digital wallet.”

‘Pocket UPI’ accepts card payments from any network, including RuPay, Visa, American Express, and Diners Club. Payments can be made across various channels like merchant QR codes, e-commerce platforms, and peer-to-peer transfers. Singh highlighted that Pocket UPI streamlines finances by consolidating multiple small transactions into a single wallet.

Moreover, Pocket UPI helps in safeguarding users from compromised transactions and financial fraud by transferring funds from the MobiKwik Wallet instead of their bank account. This step limits exposure when making financial transactions, ensuring a secure payment experience for users.
