MoistCr1TiKaL, who is known as Charlie colloquially, is a popular YouTuber and Twitch streamer who has confirmed that he is taking a break from podcasts named “The Official Podcast” and “The Red Thread” indefinitely for the time being.
MoistCr1TiKaL Takes Podcast Hiatus After Sneako Debate
This news comes shortly after the heated debate he had against another streamer named Sneako. The debate had controversial issues and topics, like child marriage, hormone treatment for minors, and more, which caused lots of negative treatment from the public.
The announcement was confirmed as it was noted on the official page of the podcasts.
The statement said that he will be taking a step back from podcasts, but it is not clear whether he will be stopping his content creation on other platforms altogether or not.
“Effective immediately, Charlie has made the decision to leave both The Official Podcast and Red Thread. He wants to go on an indefinite hiatus to scale back his time spent on the internet.” The statement which was put out, read.
Sneako has also commented on this.
Sneako said that Charlie did face backlash, but Sneako faced way more.
According to Sneako, other influencers who are criticizing the decision should not do so because Charlie did a better job of absorbing the negative comments than any of them would have.
“Moist Critikal put out a statement saying he’s quitting the internet after our debate. For years everyone has seen cancel culture attack me and I have never quit. My advice is to never take a break, and never show weakness. Keep your head up, brother,” said Sneako.
The confirmation from Jackson a member of the podcast team confirmed,
“Nope! Just to clarify; only talking about the Official branded podcasts (OP, RT). Thanks!,” wrote Jackson under a viral Reddit post of the announcement.”
So Charlie is not quitting the internet scene altogether.
The stance Charlie took during the debate was controversial according to some, as he agreed that minors should take hormone treatment only with parental consent.
Sneako was against the issue, which led to their argument and debate as well.
