YouTube Star MrBeast Proposes to Thea Booysen in Heartfelt Christmas Surprise, Announces Engagement
MrBeast, a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson is a well-known YouTuber who opened a new inning in his life at the very beginning of 2025. Jimmy joyously announced to his adoring fans that he is engaged to social media star Thea Booysen.
MrBeast revealed that he had proposed to his beau on Christmas at home, in front of their families and it was a very emotional and private moment.
MrBeast Surprises Thea Booysen with Heartfelt Christmas Proposal
It seems 2025 is bringing an abundance of glad tidings and cheer for everyone and famous YouTuber MrBeast is entering a new phase of his life by getting engaged.
MrBeast wrote,
“Ya boy did a thing 🥰🥰🥰”
MrBeast in an interview with People talked about his engagement and said,
“I was trying to think of the best way to catch her off guard so it would be a surprise.”
Looking at the pictures it is evident that the setting for the engagement was not some exotic locale but at home and in attendance of close family members.
MrBeast added,
“Thea is really close to her family, so I wanted to make sure that they were included in this momentous occasion,”
The duo has been dating since 2022 and they met through a mutual friend. The relationship blossomed like a fairy tale and culminated into a welcome and happy finale.
Thea said that she was overwhelmed with the surprise proposal and said it was a special moment for her. Her family had flown out of South Africa for Christmas and when they were opening the presents, Jimmy pulled out his best act and Thea said,
“For the very last present he asked me to close my eyes because it was a surprise,”
Jimmy did everything to blow his ladylove off her feet and described how he proposed to his love,
“I intentionally dropped a large box to make noise before presenting the real gift—with the ring inside—to her. And then I went down on one knee and proposed.”
Both Jimmy and Thea are social media stars and their fans expected a glitzy video capturing the special moment to make it onto the internet. However, MrBeast wanted to keep the event low-key and very private in attendance of his closest friends and relatives.
