Munawar releases teaser of his debut web series ‘First Copy’ on Eid as a ‘special gift for fans’

Mumbai, April 11 (IANS) Musician Munawar Faruqui announced his acting debut in a web series ‘First Copy’ on Eid. He shared the teaser on social media, taking viewers back to 1999, highlighting piracy in the film industry.

The one-minute, forty-three-second teaser shows Munawar’s character discussing the impact of DVDs on Bollywood in 1999. He portrays a gray character immersed in the world of piracy, expressing excitement about this new venture. Written and directed by Farhan P. Zamma, the show is produced by Kurji Productions.

Munawar expressed gratitude towards his fans for their unwavering support and described the project as a special gift for them. He stated, “I wanted to present them with a special gift this year by announcing this project where they’ll witness a new side of me.” The musician is eager to see the audience’s response to his acting debut.
