Mutilated Bodies Of Cats Found Around Houston Amid Springfield ‘Pet-Eating’ Saga
The police in Houston are investigating the recovery of several mutilated cat bodies in the city streets. Witnesses reported that the cats were found cut in half with their organs intact.
This incident has occurred three times in two weeks.
Cat Bodies Found Around Houston
The instances of chilling animal cruelty have been seen over the past two weeks, and the incidents are being investigated by the Houston Police Department’s Animal Cruelty Unit.
In a separate incident, mutilated bodies of over 50 animals were also recovered from a private property in San Leon, Texas.
Witness Jackson Hime described the gory discovery to media house Click2Houston.
“My mom was out walking her dog, and she passed by and saw that a black cat was severed in half. It doesn’t look natural to me.”
His observation was also corroborated by others who witnessed the discovery of mutilated animals.
The discovery has sparked both outrage and fear among the residents of the city. The incident has once again ignited conspiracy theories that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio are involved in eating pet cats.
The first reports of such incidents surfaced on August 26th, and more mutilated bodies of cats were found on Sunday and Wednesday.
More than fifty bodies of dead animals were also recovered from San Leon, Texas, as reported by media house Fox 26. The bodies included cats, horses, cows, a raccoon, and dogs. The horrific discovery was made during a search for a missing cat named Cheesecake.
Kaylee Humburger, whose cat went missing, described the incident as the worst thing she had seen in her life. Grizzy Castillo, founder of Grizzy Hood News, described the incident as a holocaust of cats.
Castillo reported:
“We stepped on dead carcass after dead carcass, and kennel after kennel, with dead carcasses and empty cans of food.”
The property owner, who was running a trap-and-release (TNR) program with local shelters, is now facing criminal charges. It was also revealed that the owner had a history of animal-related offences. Neighbours had repeatedly alerted the authorities about suspicious activities, but the full extent of the horror has been uncovered recently.
The incident has once again reignited a slugfest between the Republicans and the Democrats. Trump, during his debate with Harris, accused the migrants of killing pets for food. Trump also said that he would deport the migrants from Springfield, Ohio and again repeated the unverified reports that the migrant Haitian community killed and ate pets.
