Naman Shaw recognizes ‘Animal’ as a symbol of the current popularity of anti-heroes

Mumbai, March 7 (IANS) Actor Naman Shaw, who portrays a grey character in the show ‘Mangal Lakshmi’, believes that anti-heroes are currently in demand. Drawing inspiration from Ranbir Kapoor’s role in ‘Animal’, Naman plays Adit in the family drama where sisters Mangal and Lakshmi prioritize each other’s respect.

The show focuses on Mangal’s struggles with her husband Adit’s mistreatment while she endeavors to find a suitable partner for her sister Lakshmi. Naman Shaw expressed his excitement about portraying a character different from his usual roles, stating, “I wanted to play a slightly different yet challenging character.”

Known for his previous roles, Naman mentioned, “Grey is the new white. I strongly feel that anti-heroes are the flavour of today’s day and age — look at Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’. Adit’s role as a not-so-ideal husband is a fresh experience for me and for my fans as well.”

As the plot unfolds, viewers can expect to see Kusum helping Mangal find a match for Lakshmi while Kartik’s heroic act and a viral video bring unexpected twists. ‘Mangal Lakshmi’ on Colors serves as a platform for Naman to showcase his versatility and break free from conventional roles, as he embraces the challenges of exploring new territory as an actor.
