Naramasimha Jayanti 2025 Wishes in Telugu, Images, Messages, Quotes, Greetings, and Instagram Captions

Naramasimha Jayanti is a very sacred and important festival of Hinduism, which is celebrated in memory of the appearance of Shri Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This festival is celebrated every year on the Chaturdashi date of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. In the year 2025, Narasimha Jayanti will be celebrated on Sunday, May 11. This festival symbolizes the victory of Dharma over Adharma, the glory of devotion and the destruction of the wicked.
According to mythology, Demon King Hiranyakashyap performed a rigorous penance of Lord Shiva and received a boon that he would neither die at home nor outside, neither during the day nor at night, neither in the sky nor on the earth, neither at the hands of any human nor at the hands of any animal. Due to this boon, he became arrogant and declared himself as God.
Hiranyakashyap’s son Prahlad was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. He did not give up his devotion to Lord Vishnu despite the atrocities and threats of his father. Hiranyakashyap tried to kill him several times, but each time Lord Vishnu protected him. When Prahlad said that God is present everywhere, an angry Hiranyakashyap kicked the pillar and asked if God is in it too. Then Lord Vishnu appeared from the pillar in his fierce Narasimha form – half man and half lion. He killed Hiranyakashyap during dusk (neither day nor night), at the threshold of the house (neither home nor outside), on his lap (neither sky nor earth), and with his nails (neither weapon nor human/animal).
Lord Vishnu incarnated on earth from time to time to establish Dharma. Lord Narasimha is the fourth among his ten main incarnations. This incarnation was taken for pure devotion and protection of Dharma. Narasimha Jayanti is one of those festivals of Hinduism, which not only shows the miracle of God, but also inspires us to follow the path of faith, devotion and Dharma.
