National Car Racing: Abhay Mohan bags triple crown; Jaden Rahman wins twice
The first round of the MMSC fmsci Indian National Car Racing Championship 2024 concluded at the Madras International Circuit with Bengaluru’s Abhay Mohan and Shillong’s Jaden Rahman Pariat emerging as the biggest winners. Mohan, at 15 years of age, secured a triple crown in the MRF Formula 1600 category, while 17-year-old Pariat notched a double in the MRF Formula 2000 class.
In addition, Mumbai’s Biren Pithawalla, Angad Matharoo from Chandigarh, and Pune’s Diana Pundole also secured impressive wins in their respective categories. Notably, Pundole, a mother of two, not only secured a win but also a P3 finish in the MRF Saloons (Toyota Etios) category.
Jaden Rahman Pariat displayed notable talent, winning both races in the F2000 category, making up for his P2 finish on Saturday due to engine issues. Meanwhile, Abhay Mohan continued to impress, securing a triple crown and demonstrating his skill and potential.
Biren Pithawalla and Angad Matharoo also secured victories in the Indian Touring Cars and Super Stock categories, respectively. Pundole’s performance in the MRF Saloons category was also commendable, showcasing skill and determination.
