The National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) is a registration document issued to a Pakistani citizen who lives or has references in another country.

In the NADRA database, a citizen who obtains two or more identity cards/certificates with distinct Identity Numbers is labeled “DUP.” When you file for DUP clearance, one of your NICOPs will be preserved, while the other (double) will be automatically surrendered. Citizens will be able to keep any of their NICs/certificates by submitting an application to the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA). You can apply for “DUP” clearance at any NADRA Card Center (NCC).
