PN Panicker was born on 1 March 1909 and died on 19 June 1995. He was born in Nilamparur, Kerala to Govinda Pillai and Janaki Amma. As a teacher, he had a deep influence in the society. He is called the father of the library movement in Kerala. Panicker traveled from village to village in Kerala and told people about the benefits of reading.
