NCP Legislator Eknath Khadse to Return to BJP in Two Weeks

NCP legislator Eknath Khadse confirmed his return to BJP in a fortnight, leaving NCP after joining in 2020 and being elected to Maharashtra Legislative Council in 2022. Khadse stated he had discussions with BJP veterans and office bearers, without any conditions to rejoin.

“I met BJP President J. P. Nadda…expressed my desire to join the party. In a fortnight, I will rejoin the BJP,” said Khadse, announcing his plan to rejoin BJP in Delhi, not Mumbai. He informed NCP leaders Sharad Pawar and Jayant Patil before making the decision.

Khadse expressed gratitude to Sharad Pawar for helping him during his crisis but decided to return to BJP. His daughter and state NCP (SP) women wing chief Rohini Khadse announced she will not join BJP with her father, pledging to stay in NCP(SP) to fight alongside Sharad Pawar.

In a significant political move, Eknath Khadse’s ‘ghar vapsi’ to BJP highlights the shifting dynamics within Maharashtra politics. His decision to rejoin the BJP after discussions with party officials without any stated conditions underscores the evolving alliances and realignments in the state.
