NHAI releases an updated list of approved FASTag issuers – Where can you purchase them?

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has removed Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) from its list of FASTag issuing banks and NBFCs due to non-compliance and supervisory concerns by RBI. NHAI has now published a revised list of 39 authorised FASTag issuers.

In the revised list of FASTag issuers authorized by NHAI, there are 39 banks and NBFCs eligible to issue FASTags including Airtel Payments Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, SBI, and many more. Vehicle owners who purchased PPBL FASTags now need to buy from other authorized banks. No top-up will be allowed after March 15, 2024.

After the removal of PPBL from the list of FASTag issuers, vehicle owners are advised to purchase a new FASTag from any other authorized bank to ensure seamless toll payments.
