Nick Fuentes, a far-right influencer, is facing charges of battery for assaulting a 57-year-old woman, Maria Rose, who was paying a visit to the influencer’s home on November 10. It is alleged that Nick pepper-sprayed Rose, snatched her phone, and also abused her. Nick was detained, fingerprinted, and then released. His case is scheduled to be heard on December 19.
However, what intrigued netizens was that Nick had posted his mugshot on social media. He also posted inappropriate swear words and called for his release on X.
For the unversed, Rose wanted to confront Nick after he made some highly controversial comments on X during the US Presidential elections. Rose visited Nick’s home, but before she could enter the house, Nick pepper-sprayed her on his doorstep and broke into a diatribe full of expletives.
He also snatched her phone and entered his house, slamming the door in Rose’s face. Rose detailed the incident to the media house Chicago Tribune.

After it became clear that Donald Trump would be elected as the 47th President of the United States, Fuentes, in a comment on X, taunted abortion rights activists. He also made fun of the slogan of the movement, ‘My Body, My Choice,’ with his own take: ‘Your Body, My Choice Forever.’ His remarks were met with disdain and a huge backlash after his comments were widely circulated on social media. It was later that Rose decided to confront the influencer when the unfortunate incident happened.
This is not the first time the influencer, known for his extreme right-wing views, has been involved in controversies. Earlier, he faced criticism for hosting a dinner with Republican Presidential nominee and former US President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago in 2022.
He also caused a huge controversy after participating in a 2017 white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Fuentes is also a prominent figure in the far-right movement named ‘America First.’
