Nitin Gadkari to inaugurate projects worth Rs 13,000 cr in K’taka
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari is set to embark on a tour of Karnataka, where he will take part in various programmes and inaugurate road projects worth a total of over Rs 13,000 crore. The minister will be in Belagavi on Thursday morning, before moving on to Shivamogga and ending his tour in Bengaluru, where he will take part in a religious function.
Gadkari will commence his Karnataka tour on Thursday, where he will oversee the commencement of 15 projects of Rs 6,975 crore in north Karnataka region. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various road projects worth Rs 6,168 crore.
The Union Minister will leave New Delhi in a special flight and arrive at Belagavi city on Thursday morning, where he will take part in a public programme organised in the premises of Belagavi District Stadium at 12:30 p.m.
Following the event in Belagavi, Gadkari will then make his way to Shivamogga city by 2:40 p.m and address a gathering at Nehru Stadium. He is also scheduled to take part in the inauguration and laying of foundation for a number of road projects at 3:15 p.m.
The Minister will then reach the Art of Living Centre in Bengaluru to take part in a religious function, before departing for Maharashtra on Friday morning.
This tour holds significance as the inauguration and commencement of these projects will play a vital role in the development of Karnataka’s infrastructure. It is also likely to bring about employment opportunities and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
