Apart from organising a special drive, the Noida traffic police will also fine regular offenders.
“Between January 1, 2023, and April 25, 2023, Gautam Budh Nagar traffic police have imposed 2,35,000 fines, compared to only 1,27,000 fines during the same period last year,” the DCP stated that the police is always like to ensure proper traffic regulations. The drive will be an additional measure to maintain smooth traffic flow.
“The campaign will emphasise effective enforcement of no-parking, illegal parking, and wrong-side driving, with erring vehicles being towed away using cranes. The divisional transport department and roadways department are also assisting in the implementation of the plan,” Yadav said.
As per the officials, to make the campaign successful, DCP conducted a meeting with all traffic inspectors, traffic sub-inspectors and assistant commissioners of police, where they were briefed about the initiative.
