Nokia G42 5G was rolled out on 11 September in India. This model is the Nokia’s latest launch with the 5G feature. The newly launched Nokia G42 5G offers 128GB of onboard storage along with 6GB of RAM. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC.
The Nokia G42 5G offers a primary sensor of 50-megapixel and a battery backup of 5,000mAh along with a triple rear camera unit. Later this week, the Nokia G42 5G will be available for procurement on sale on Amazon. It has been confirmed to be manufactured in India. In selected markets, the handset was introduced in June 2023.

The Nokia G42 5G is currently available in the sole storage configuration of 6GB RAM + 128GB. It is priced at Rs. 12,599. Currently, the color options available are So Purple and So Grey. Moreover, the sale for this Smartphone will go live on 15 September 2023 via E-commerce platform, Amazon.
In June 2023, the handset was unveiled in Europe. For the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration, the phone came with a price tag of roughly Rs. 20,800 or EUR 199.
Nokia G42 5G Features and Specifications
On the optics front, the Nokia G42 5G possesses a triple rear camera unit. It comprises two 2-megapixel sensors and one primary sensor of 50 megapixels. On the front, the mobile has an 8-megapixel sensor for video chats and selfies. Various connectivity options in the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.1, a USB Type-C port, GPS, and 5G.
The phone comes with a proximity sensor, e-compass, ambient light sensor, and an accelerometer. The smartphone also offers a fingerprint sensor mounted at the side for authentication. The newly launched smartphone also offers an IP52-rated build for water and dust resistance.
The Nokia G42 5G is currently operating on Android 13. It has guaranteed monthly security updates for three years along with two years of Android OS upgrades. The Smartphone flaunts a peak brightness of 560 nits and a refresh rate of 90Hz with a 6.56-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) LCD.
The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Nokia G42 5G has RAM available up to 6GB which can be further expanded up to 11GB virtually. It also offers 128GB of onboard storage along with octa-core Snapdragon 480+ SoC.
