Odisha Chief Minister Introduces ‘Online Incentive Management System’ for IT & Electronics Sectors

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched the Online Incentive Management System (OIMS) developed by Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC). The system allows entrepreneurs to apply for incentives under various policies of the IT and Electronics Department.

CM Patnaik expressed his happiness over the launch of the online system, stating that it is a pioneering initiative in the country. He emphasized that the platform will streamline the process of incentive management for IT and electronics industries in a transparent and user-friendly manner.

The OIMS system offers several advantages over traditional methods, including easy application submission and document uploads, a single window portal, error-checks for applications, and enhanced security measures. Companies can now apply for incentives 24/7 through the online portal.

Furthermore, the system enables real-time tracking of application status and sends notifications to applicants via email or SMS. The state government, in collaboration with industry bodies like NASSCOM, will conduct training programs for IT and electronics establishments on using the online portal effectively.

In addition to launching OIMS, CM Patnaik also inaugurated new district websites developed under the Standardized Website Framework. These websites aim to provide a unified web experience for citizens and strengthen the government’s commitment to transparency and efficiency under the 5T governance model.

The Standardized Website Framework functions as a dynamic Content Management System, allowing authorized users to manage their content independently. The information on these websites is available in both English and Odia, catering to a wide range of users across the state.
