Okechukwu Iweha Fatally Stabbed To Death Outside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The 46-year-old Okechukwu Iweha passed away on Sunday in Haringey, north London, in a fatal stabbing incident. This brutal incident occurred near English football club Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium at Northumberland Park.

According to BBC, the incident resulted in Iweha’s ultimate demise. Okechukwu Iweha passed away before shifting him to the hospital. BBC reported that, the victim’s family was notified about the conduct of a post-mortem examination. The report of the post-mortem will be released later this week.

Until now, no suspects have been identified. Moreover, detectives are yet to carry out the investigation or make any apprehensions about the stabbing accident.

During the investigation, residents were questioned and were asked to assist the detectives with CCTV footage, any information or any other lead regarding what could help the officials to find the culprit. The investigation to track the perpetrator(s) is underway.

Match Went On Amid Stabbing Incident of Okechukwu Iweha

On April 7, Sunday, the stabbing incident occurred ahead of Nottingham Forest’s match against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. The club announced that the match would remain unhindered, reported TimesNow.

Match was conducted even though huge traffic restrictions were put and inconvenience was caused, creating an issue for fans to reach the stadium.

The club’s statement read,

“Following an incident in which an individual has lost their life, we are doing everything to accommodate the ongoing police investigation, which is of the utmost importance.”

The statement added,

“This afternoon’s Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest will go ahead as scheduled, however, the whole of Northumberland Park Road and Vicarage Road, as well as the north end of Worcester Avenue, will remain closed throughout.”
