Olivia Nuzzi, Washington Correspondent for Prominent New York Magazine, Placed on Leave Over Alleged Affair with Robert F Kennedy Jr

Prominent New York Magazine’s Washington correspondent Olivia Nuzzi has been asked to go on leave after allegations that she was in a romantic relationship with presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The relationship began after Olivia Nuzzi profiled Robert F Kennedy Jr. in November 2023. New York Magazine did not find erroneousness or prejudice in her work. However, to ensure the high standards of its journalism, it is conducting further reviews by independent agencies.

Olivia Nuzzi had recently admitted that she was involved romantically with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign while she was reporting on the campaign. Her actions were deemed to be a violation of the magazine’s standards around conflicts of interest and disclosures.

The magazine in a statement said that it is aware of the relationship and Nuzzi has been stopped from covering the presidential election.

The magazine in a statement said,

“An internal review of her published work has found neither inaccuracies nor evidence of bias. She is currently on leave from the magazine, and the magazine is conducting a more thorough third-party review.”

The media house has also expressed its regret for not living up to its reader’s trust.

However Robert F Kennedy Jr. camp has negated any existence of a relationship between the two and said that Mr. Kennedy had only met Olivia Nuzzi only once for an interview she requested and it turned out to be a big hit.

Kennedy, 70 has been married for the third time to ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ actor Cheryl Hines, since 2014. He had started his presidential campaign on the Democratic ticket in April 2023, challenging incumbent President Joe Biden.
