Crypto experts have repeatedly warned such elements are targeting the crypto investors, especially after the crypto values often surge by gargantuan proportions. Values of crypto assets like Bitcoin have been surging and Jameson Lopp, Chief Security Officer at CASA, noted that criminals are increasingly becoming aware of crypto wealth and there has been a surge in such attacks.
Users also speculate that OnlyFans star’s unabashed display of her crypto wealth may have led to the attack. The latter had posted a screenshot of her Coinbase account in late 2024 in which it can be seen that her account had 20 million in BTC and ETH. The OnlyFans star jokingly asked if she should hold or sell her crypto wealth.
Authorities are still to give details about any suspects or progress in the investigation.
