Pakistan beat India by 5 wickets in Friendship Cricket Series for the Blind in UAE

Skipper Badar Munir’s unbeaten century led Pakistan to a thrilling 5-wicket victory over India in the first T20 of the Friendship Cricket Series for the Blind in Dubai. India posted 212/6 thanks to D. Venkateswara Rao and T. Durga Rao’s knocks, but Pakistan chased down the target with four balls to spare, taking a 1-0 lead in the series.

The Friendship Cricket Series, initially planned as a Tri-Series with Pakistan and Sri Lanka, was reduced to a bilateral series after Sri Lanka faced visa issues. India started strong, scoring 36 runs in the first 3 overs, but Pakistan made a comeback and restricted India to 212/6 in 20 overs.

Chasing 213, Pakistan suffered early setbacks but Badar Munir’s explosive 129 off 63 balls sealed the win, earning him the player of the match award. Three Indian players made their debut, and were presented with caps by the General Secretary of the Cricket Association for the Blind in India before the match.

The second T20 between India and Pakistan will take place at the ICC Cricket Academy Dubai on Friday.
