Paramedical student discovered deceased with visible injury marks in Uttar Pradesh

In a tragic turn of events, the body of a 21-year-old paramedical student, Priya Mishra, was found with serious injury marks near the Sonai Canal bridge on Saifai-Etawah road in Uttar Pradesh. The victim, a first-year student of Saifai Medical University and a resident of Auraiya, was identified after the body was discovered late on Thursday evening.

According to Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Varma, it appears that Priya either sustained injuries from a pointed weapon on her neck or was shot from a close range. The police are currently investigating the case, and a panel of doctors will conduct the post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Initial investigations suggest that Priya left with a fellow student at noon without her mobile phone. She did not return to the hostel or attend her classes, prompting the warden to inform her parents about her absence. The location where the body was found is approximately 10 kilometers away from the university.

Following the discovery of Priya’s body, protests broke out on the Saifai Medical University campus, with hundreds of students demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits responsible for her death. The incident has sent shockwaves through the university community, raising concerns about the safety of students on and around the campus.
