Honolulu Chiropractor Paris Oda Allegedly Killed His Three Children and Wife Before Suicide; Murder Case Under Investigation

Paris Oda, a chiropractor allegedly killed his three kids along with his wife resulting in a horrifying murder-suicide. This incident occurred in a Honolulu suburb.

Honolulu Police Department alleged that the 46-year-old Paris Oda stabbed his three children, aged 10, 12, and 17, along with his wife. Later he took his own life in their family home in Manoa.

Until now the police have not confirmed the name of the chiropractor. However, KITV reported that Oda’s neighbors identified him. Oda’s exact death cause hasn’t been disclosed by the officials yet.

According to the Neighbors, Naoko Oda – Oda’s wife was a homemaker.

Neighbors added that the downstairs is occupied by a family who left for a Japan trip on Saturday. And the upstairs is occupied by a Paris family.

According to Hawaii News Now, the body of five dead people was discovered inside the house. However, police did not reveal the exact location.

Cops in a statement said,

“HPD investigators are at a Manoa residence where multiple deceased persons were found.”

On Sunday evening, Deena Thoemmes, HPD Lt. said at a press conference,

“Based on the evidence found at the scene and the investigation thus far, it appears the adult male killed the female and the juveniles with the knife that was recovered at the scene.”

Deena further added,

“Witnesses report that there was an argument in the home early this morning. Multiple murder investigations have been initiated.”

The Incident Explained

Police stated that they got a call from an anonymous source at 8:30 am about a disturbance inside the family on Waaloa. However, when the officials arrived, nobody opened the door.

Police officials got another call, thus after 45 minutes, around 9:15 am, they returned to the house and found five dead bodies.

Neighbors and residents were frightened when they heard about the incident.

Hiro Izumo, a neighbor added,

“They’re like the typical festive family, they dress up the house for the holidays and it’s normal.”

According to New York Post, Honolulu Police took to their X account and confirmed that according to the investigation, the suspect is among those who were found at the scene.

Joe Loga, the HPD Chief mentioned that the motive of the murders is currently under investigation as it doesn’t appear as a random act.
