‘He is fit and ready to throw thunder balls’: Pathirana’s manager confirms his availability for IPL

Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana has recovered from the injury and is fit to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL), according to his manager Amila Kalugalage. Pathirana had suffered a hamstring injury during a T20I series against Bangladesh, causing him to miss initial matches for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2024, including the season opener.

In a recent update, Kalugalage confirmed Pathirana’s availability, stating, “The answer to where’s Pathirana, he is fit and ready to throw thunder balls. Be ready.” Pathirana was the highest wicket-taker for CSK last season, taking 19 wickets in 12 matches with an impressive economy of 8.90. However, there is no confirmation from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yet on his clearance to play in IPL 2024.

If given the green light by SLC, Pathirana could potentially feature in upcoming games for CSK in the IPL. Fans of the franchise will be eagerly awaiting the return of the talented pacer to strengthen their bowling line-up and continue his impressive performance from the previous season.

Stay tuned for more updates on Matheesha Pathirana’s participation in IPL 2024 as the situation develops.
