PayU collaborates with PayPal to enhance cross-border payment solutions for Indian merchants

New Delhi, April 9 (IANS) Leading online payment solutions provider PayU has partnered with US-based fintech company PayPal to enhance the cross-border payment experience for Indian merchants. The partnership will utilize PayPal ISU 2.0 Checkout to offer customers a more personalized and inclusive payment experience.

PayU’s Senior VP, Nikhil Mehta, stated, “Integrating PayPal’s ISU 2.0 API sets a new standard for our payment services, benefiting our merchants looking to expand globally.” This integration allows customers to choose from various payment methods at checkout, including PayPal, PayPal Paylater, and local Alternative Payment Methods from customers outside India.

The PayPal ISU 2.0 facilitates an efficient merchant onboarding process directly within the PayU dashboard. It enables Indian merchants to open accounts with PayPal using an API-driven approach that reduces drop-offs and enables real-time activation. This improved onboarding experience, combined with a fully integrated payment journey, is expected to improve success rates and potentially increase revenue for PayU’s global merchant network.
