New Zealand Socialite Pebbles Hooper Faces Backlash for Calling Family Deaths “Natural Selection”
A tragic incident occurred in New Zealand as Cindy George and her three children, Pio, Teuruaa, and Telyzshaun, were found dead in their home.
According to media reports, the deaths mainly occurred because their car was left running in the garage, which led to gases filling the house and suffocating them to death.
Pebbles Hooper Sparks Backlash
Pebbles Hooper, a well-known socialite and gossip columnist in New Zealand, made a very insensitive comment about this incident.
Pebbles said the deaths were “natural selection” and implied that they happened because of poor decision-making, partly blaming the mom for the deaths of her and the three kids.
Now, the tweet Pebbles made about this whole incident is upsetting people on social media, and people are alleging how insensitive she is toward the suffering of the family.
Pebbles deleted the post very quickly and also defended the statement she made about the family, claiming she was talking about the safety of the people in the house.
Even though Pebbles tried to apologize and prove her point, the backlash she faced was tremendous and very strong.
Pebbles finally had to apologize for what she said and back off from the stance she took about this incident online.
Pebbles Hooper herself had a near-death experience back in 2010 due to complications she was suffering from Type 1 diabetes, which led her to go into a coma.
The health issue was difficult for her to keep up with, and she survived that as well.
Pebbles Hooper also opened up about her survival and how difficult it was for her to do so under the circumstances she was living in.
