Fadnavis told that- 'I have 6.3 GB of data as evidence, which has intercepted calls with the report. This report was submitted to the CM. He was briefed about that. But despite the action, this report was sent to the Home Minister.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, citing the report of the Commissioner of Intelligence, has said that he has about 6.3 GB of data for intercepted calls and described this evidence as sensitive. Fadnavis alleged that the report was submitted to the Chief Minister but no action was taken on it and vice-versa Commissioner of Intelligence Rashmi Shukla was transferred and removed.

Fadnavis revealed on DG report

Fadnavis said that in 2017 I got information that a police transfer racket was going on in a hotel in Mumbai. I called the police officers and made an operation plan. Taking action, arrested everyone. Similarly, Commissioner Intelligence Rashmi Shukla got the intelligence of such racket. He took permission from ACS Home and started intercepting calls. In which many big names came out.

According to Fadnavis, ‘On 25 August 2020, the Commissioner of Intelligence submitted a report to the DG. On 26th, the DG forwarded the report to ACS Sitaram Kunte and said that the entire matter should be brought to the notice of CM Uddhav Thackeray and appropriate action should be taken.

CM Uddhav did not take any action on the report: Fadnavis

Fadnavis told that- ‘I have 6.3 GB of data as evidence, which has intercepted calls with the report. This report was submitted to the CM. He was briefed about that. But despite the action, this report was sent to the Home Minister.

Commissioner Intelligence transferred, did not promote

According to the former CM, ‘Commissioner Intelligence Rashmi Shukla was transferred and removed after the report was given. Despite being eligible for promotion to the post of DG, his junior post was transferred to DG Civil Defense. For which cabinet approval was not taken. Rather, they asked him who asked them to do so.

‘I have sensitive evidence, CBI inquiry’

Fadnavis said that the evidence gathered with me is very sensitive. The names of many officers are included in this. These officers come under the authority of the Central Government. Their custodian is the central government. That is why in Delhi, the Home Secretary of Delhi will meet and give them all this information. And I am going to demand CBI to investigate the matter.
