Pizzagate Shooter Edgar Welch Dies in Police Standoff; Viral Claims Link Him to ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ Hailey Welch
The internet is in a tizzy for a bizarre story! Hailey Welch better known as the Hawk Tuah girl is in the news and is linked to the recent shooting of Edgar Welch. For the unversed Edgar Welch is the famous Pizzagate shooter and had eight years ago travelled hundreds of miles to investigate a conspiracy theory. Later finding no proof he embarked on a shooting spree at a pizza place in Washington, D.C., in 2016.
Edgar Welch was stopped by a Kannapolis Police Department officer on the evening of January 4, 2025 when he was driving with a friend. The officer recognized Welch’s car from a previous arrest and believed there was an outstanding warrant against Welch.
When the police officer tried to arrest Welch, the latter pulled out a gun and also refused to obey the police officers who instructed him to put down his weapon. Later the Police officers shot Welch and as per information released by Kannapolis Police Department Chief Terry L. Spry died two days later in the hospital.
It's just so convenient that Edgar Welch, who stormed Comet Pizza is dead 10 days before Trumps inauguration, and at the same time, LA and Hollywood celebrities' houses burn down.

Welch first gained national attention on December 4, 2016, in what was later to be dubbed the Pizzagate shooting. Welch went on a shooting spree at the Comet Ping Pong pizzeria in Washington and was armed with an assault rifle.
He had driven hundreds of miles to investigate a conspiracy theory that a child s*x trafficking ring run by well-known Democrats was operating out of the pizzeria.
The conspiracy theory stated that the Pizza outlet’s basement was being used for the child abuse network. However, Welch discovered nothing and the theory was proved to be false.
Welch was arrested and charged for assault with a weapon. He pleaded guilty in 2017 and was sentenced to four years in prison.
Was Edgar Welch Related To “Hawk Tuah” Girl Hailey Welch
After Welch’s death, more conspiracy theories emerged about the Pizzagate scandal with claims that he was the brother of Hawk Tuah girl, Hailey Welch. However, according to fact finding site Distractify on January 10, Edgar and Hailey, known as the Hawk Tuah girl, are not related in any way and the only thing they have in common is their last name.
Hailey Welch herself had a troubled childhood and was raised by her grandmother because her real mother was battling addiction issues. Hailey Welch when asked about her mother stated that she is unaware of her whereabouts. She has also never talked about her siblings.
The latest viral news has prompted netizens to react to the issue and an X user stated,
“That’s hawk tuah’s brother?!”
Other netizens followed suit and made similar claims.
