PM Modi: India’s Democratization of Technology and Efforts to Bridge the Digital Divide

In an exclusive conversation with Microsoft Co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on empowering all sections of society with new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI). Under the Ayushman Bharat umbrella, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir scheme aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to citizens across urban and rural areas. PM Modi mentioned the establishment of 2 lakh ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandir’ across the country, where people can access quality healthcare services with the use of modern technology.

The Namo Drone Didi and Lakhpati Didi initiatives are crucial to PM Modi’s vision of promoting economic empowerment and financial autonomy among women, especially in rural areas. PM Modi highlighted the positive impact of these initiatives on women, stating that they have become innovators of modern agricultural methods with the use of drones in the fields.

PM Modi expressed his commitment to bridging the digital divide in the country and emphasized India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) as a model for the world. He stressed on the importance of embracing digital technology to enhance daily life for everyone, especially in providing the best education to children using new technologies.
