PM Modi to campaign in Bihar, Bengal, and MP in LS polls today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address election rallies in Bihar’s Nawada and West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri, as well as hold a roadshow in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur on Sunday. The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes a noon rally in Nawada, a 3:15 p.m. programme in Jalpaiguri, and a 6:15 p.m. roadshow in Jabalpur for BJP candidate Ashish Dubey.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will hold public meetings in Rajasthan’s Bikaner and Jhunjhunu on Sunday. BJP President J.P. Nadda will address a rally in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar followed by a roadshow in Tiruchirappalli on the same day. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will campaign in Rajasthan and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav will visit the ancestral home of late politician Mukhtar Ansari in Uttar Pradesh.

AAP leaders will observe a daylong ‘collective fast’ to protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin his two-day Assam visit with rallies in Hojai, Lakhimpur, and Gohpur, while Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will hold a public meeting in Maharashtra’s Gondia district. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh will take out a padyatra in Chachoura, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will address a farmers’ conference in Panchu, and Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Bhupendra Singh Choudhary will address a conference of BJP booth presidents in Dadri and Jewar.

Other political figures, including Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union Minister Smriti Irani, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari, and Uttrakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, will also be holding various rallies and events in different parts of the country on Sunday.
