PM Modi to conduct a rally in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address an election rally in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. This will be his first rally in Pilibhit since assuming office. Jitin Prasada from BJP is contesting from the Pilibhit Lok Sabha seat, replacing Varun Gandhi.

BJP state vice president Vijay Pathak stated, “The party has changed its candidates on many seats. It is the ‘lotus’ (party symbol) that is contesting on all seats.” Varun Gandhi and his mother Maneka Gandhi have represented the constituency since 1996. The polling in Pilibhit is scheduled for April 19.

Pilibhit BJP Chief Sanjiv Pratap Singh mentioned, “We are all set to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Pilibhit and people are looking forward to hearing him.” However, Varun Gandhi has maintained silence on his next move after being denied a ticket. The Samajwadi Party has fielded Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar, and BSP has announced Anis Ahmed Khan as its candidate from Pilibhit.
