PM Modi to lead Council of Ministers meeting to discuss Viksit Bharat plan and upcoming LS polls

New Delhi, March 3 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to convene a meeting of the council of ministers on Sunday to deliberate on the roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat’ and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The meeting, to be held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri, is expected to be the last such exercise during the current government’s second term, with the Election Commission likely to announce poll dates soon.

The agenda of the meeting includes a comprehensive review of the work undertaken by various ministries, as well as key directions pertaining to the upcoming general elections. Prime Minister Modi is also expected to discuss the roadmap for the next 100 days during the meeting, which is part of his routine engagements with the council of ministers.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had previously announced in the interim budget that a detailed roadmap for Viksit Bharat would be presented in the budget in July. As anticipation mounts over the government’s impending re-election, the meeting is also slated to focus on developmental schemes to be implemented in the near future, reflecting the government’s confidence in its ability to secure another term.

Prime Minister Modi’s proactive approach to governance and decision-making is evident through his consistent engagement with the council of ministers. These meetings play a crucial role in shaping the government’s policies and strategies, ensuring effective implementation of key initiatives and programs for the nation’s progress and development.
