PM Modi's development plan: Projects worth over Rs 52 cr set to roll in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicks off a two-day visit to Gujarat with a grand roadshow in Jamnagar, marking the inauguration of development projects worth Rs 52,250 crore in sectors like health, infrastructure, energy, and tourism. The visit includes the inauguration of five new AIIMS and the unveiling of the ‘Sudarshan Setu’ bridge linking Okha mainland to Beyt Dwarka island.

On Sunday, PM Modi will inaugurate five new AIIMS in different states and unveil the ‘Sudarshan Setu’ bridge, the longest in India, connecting Okha to Beyt Dwarka. The bridge features a pedestrian path with verses from the Bhagavad Gita and solar panels generating 1MW electricity. The visit also includes laying the foundation for renewable energy projects like the Bhuj-II solar power project and healthcare projects worth over Rs 11,500 crore across 23 states and Union Territories.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for the Mundra-Panipat pipeline project, an investment exceeding Rs 9,000 crore, and groundbreaking for renewable energy projects like the Khavda solar power project and Dayapur-II wind energy project. The visit aims at boosting the region’s capacity in the renewable energy sector and enhancing healthcare facilities across the nation.
