PM Modi’s visit to Dwarkadhish temple, a message for Lord Krishna devouts?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent deep dive into the sea in Gujarat’s Dwarka and visit to the Dwarkadhish Temple has garnered attention on social media. Pictures of PM Modi in scuba gear at the submerged city of Dwarka have sparked a wave of admiration for his devotion to Lord Krishna and his government’s efforts in renovating Hindu worship sites.
PM Modi shared his experience, saying, “To pray in the city of Dwarka, which is immersed in the waters, was a very divine experience. I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual grandeur and timeless devotion. May Bhagwan Shri Krishna bless us all.” Dwarka is of significant importance in Hindu religion as it is believed to have been ruled by Lord Krishna himself before being swallowed by the sea post his departure from Earth.
Expressing his emotions, PM Modi described the visit as a fulfillment of a long-cherished dream, stating, “I had always been curious to go there and touch the remains of the ancient Dwarka city. I am full of emotions today… A decades-old dream was completed today.” Modi Archive X also revealed PM Modi’s involvement in a meeting in 1991 where the blueprint for the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple was laid from the land of Krishna.
The movement for restoring the rights of Lord Ram devotees, including the construction of a grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, has seen significant progress in recent years. With Ayodhya making international headlines and drawing visitors from around the world, PM Modi is credited for his role in bringing an end to the long-standing issue. Lord Krishna devotees also express hopes for the restoration of Krishna Janmabhoomi’s original character under Modi’s administration.
Some view PM Modi’s visit to Dwarkadish temple in the context of the upcoming elections, speculating that the restoration of Krishna Janmabhoomi will be a key agenda in his potential third term. Despite being labeled as speculation, BJP’s manifesto and PM Modi’s focus on temple renovations suggest a growing momentum in this direction.
