Popular VJ and Tamil actor Anandha Kannan dies at 48, know the reason

The tragedy has taken place in Kollywood. Leading anchor and movie star Anandha Kannan has died of cancer on Tuesday. Anandha, a Singaporean-Tamilian, was also a favourite actor for Kollywood audiences in the 90s. He was especially connected to children and youth through his lead role in the Sun TV series Sindhubaadh.

Anandha Kannan, who was battling cancer, has died on August 16. At the age of 48, while undergoing cancer treatment, he smiled and took part in various activities. He was admitted to a hospital in Chennai a week ago due to sudden health problems and died while receiving treatment. The whole of Kollywood and South Industries are shocked to know this. He entertained the Tamil audience for 30 years as an Anchor and actor. He set up AKT Theaters and promoted all the emerging actors through rural culture with workshops.

Anandha started his career as a VJ in Vasantham TV in Singapore and later settled in Chennai. He entertained the audience through serials on Sun TV along with Sun Music. While he acted in Saroja, and Adhisaya Ulagam, he did not see the release of two more films. His shows were also super hit in Singapore. Many could not bear the death of Anandha, known as the Youth Icon. Social media pays tribute to #RIPanandakannan trend. Venkat Prabhu, director of Singapore Celebrity Vadivalan and Kollywood, expressed his deepest condolences.
