Pralhad Joshi confident of winning both Lok Sabha seats in Goa

BJP Leader Pralhad Joshi Confident Of Winning Both Lok Sabha Seats In Goa

Pralhad Joshi, the BJP leader and Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister, expressed confidence in his party’s victory in both Lok Sabha seats in Goa during the forthcoming general elections. Joshi made the statement after the ‘State Election Management Committee meeting’ at the BJP North Goa District Office in Mapusa, where he was joined by State President Sadanand Tanavade, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik, and other leaders.

“We discussed the management of the election during the meeting. I am confident that we will win both seats of Goa this time,” Joshi said, highlighting the party’s optimism for the upcoming elections. Shripad Naik, the current MP from North Goa, also echoed the sentiment, stating, “We are expecting maximum margin and hence in that direction we discussed giving responsibilities to our karykartas.”

Notably, Naik has won five times from the North Goa seat, indicating his significant influence in the region. However, the BJP was unable to secure a win in the last Lok Sabha election, with their candidate Narendra Sawaikar losing the South Goa seat to Congress candidate Francisco Sardinha. This has led to increased focus on the South Goa seat by the BJP, as political analysts suspect a potentially challenging contest in the region.

The upcoming general elections in Goa have set the stage for a competitive battle, as various political parties gear up to secure victory in the state. With the BJP’s strong confidence in clinching both Lok Sabha seats this time, the electoral landscape in Goa is poised for an intense and closely-watched contest.

Overall, the State Election Management Committee meeting in Mapusa has set the tone for a highly-anticipated election in Goa, with the BJP leaders expressing conviction and determination to emerge victorious in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
