Mumbai, March 30 (IANS) Actor Pratik Gandhi, known for his work in the film ‘Madgaon Express’, shared his insights on comedy in a recent interview. He highlighted the importance of timing and how crucial it is for actors to land their punchlines effectively to incite laughs.

In a conversation with IANS, Pratik mentioned that comedy is a challenging genre to master, requiring artists to be mindful of their timing. He emphasized that even the most powerful punchline may fall flat if the timing is off by a few milliseconds. The actor spoke about the vulnerability of a scene where everyone is laughing, stressing the need for actors to feed off each other’s energy to deliver a successful comedic moment.

Having previously worked in comedy for theatre, Pratik acknowledged that adapting his craft for the screen was a learning experience. He explained, “If two actors have landed a solid punchline but the third actor misses the beat, it will spoil the whole scene.” The actor highlighted the importance of collaboration and synchronization among cast members to effectively execute comedic scenes.

‘Madgaon Express’, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, is currently running in theaters. Pratik Gandhi’s portrayal in the film has garnered positive feedback, showcasing his versatility as an actor in the realm of comedy on the big screen.
