Price of Honda vehicles will increase from January, information of this decision sent to dealers

Japanese automobile Company Honda plans to increase the prices of vehicles from next month. The dealers of the company have been informed about this. The vehicle company is fully owned by Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL).

The company sells compact sedan Amaze and expensive SUV CR-V. The initial price of Amaze is Rs 6.17 lakh while the CRV is priced at Rs 28.71 lakh (ex-showroom). A dealer of the company has confirmed this and said that it has been increasing the prices of vehicles since January. This is due to raw material costs and currency effects. According to the dealer, according to the model of the vehicles, the company will give information about the price in early January.

When contacted, a company spokesperson confirmed this. But no further information was given about it. Several auto companies have already announced to increase prices of different models from next month. Last week, Reno India said that it will increase the price of all models by up to Rs 28,000 from January.

In addition, Maruti Suzuki, Ford India, and Mahindra have already stated that they will increase the prices of their vehicles from January to reduce the increased cost of raw materials and other commodities. Two-wheeler company Hero MotoCorp has also announced an increase in the price of its vehicles by Rs 1,500 from January 1, 2021 to compensate for the increased cost of raw materials.
