Prime Minister Modi to speak at public rallies in Bhopal and Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address two public rallies in Madhya Pradesh ahead of the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, according to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. PM Modi will first speak at a rally in Bhopal at 10:30 a.m., followed by a second rally in Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad).

This visit will mark PM Modi’s third trip to Madhya Pradesh since the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections on March 16. Chief Minister Yadav stated, “PM Modi will be visiting Madhya Pradesh on Ambedkar Jayanti and will address public gatherings in Bhopal and Narmadapuram on Sunday.”

Previously, PM Modi launched the BJP’s election campaign by attending a roadshow in Jabalpur on April 7, followed by a public rally in Balaghat Lok Sabha constituency on April 10. The BJP has fielded Alok Sharma against Congress’ Arun Shrivastava in the Bhopal Lok Sabha seat.

In the 2019 elections, BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur emerged victorious against Congress’ Digivijaya Singh. This time, Digvijaya Singh is contesting from Rajgargh, his home turf. Meanwhile, in the Hoshangabad Lok Sabha seat, the BJP has nominated Darshan Singh Choudhary, facing off against Congress’ Sanjay Sharma. The BJP has historically performed well in Hoshangabad, winning three consecutive elections, including in 2019.
