Priyanka’s election bet, 200 units of electricity free and will give 2000 rupees every month to women

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who reached Assam to campaign for the assembly elections, has made a new bet. She has not only promised to give 200 units of electricity free to the people every month, but women will be given 2000 rupees every month as ‘Grahni Samman’.

In Tezpur, Assam, Priyanka Gandhi said that if the Congress comes to power in Assam, it will be given 2000 rupees every month to housewives as a ‘Grahni Samman’. She said that up to 200 units of electricity will also be given free of cost to the people every month.

Not only this, Priyanka said that 5 lakh people will be given employment in the state. Also, 365 rupees per day will be given to tea garden workers as remuneration. She said that Congress will bring a new law to repeal the revised citizenship law if the government is formed.

It is noteworthy that on which day polling will be held in Assam, polling for 126 seats in Assam will be held in three phases on 27 March, 1 April and 6 April, while on 2 May election results will be declared. Assam has an NDA government and BJP’s Sarbananda Sonowal is the chief minister. In the 2016 assembly elections, Congress contested 122 seats and won only 26 seats.
