Sources claim all three accused in Pro-Pak slogan row are members of Congress party

The Karnataka Police have arrested three Congress workers for raising pro-Pakistan slogans in the Assembly premises. The accused were identified as Mohammad Nashipudi, Munnawar Ahmad, and Mohammad Iltaz, with one of them aspiring to contest in the Lok Sabha elections.

According to police sources, the accused shouted ‘Pakistan’ and ‘Zindabad’ slogans. Samples of audio and video matched with their voices in the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) tests. Nashipudi, a chilli trader, was eyeing the Lok Sabha ticket from Haveri, while Ahmad is a local Congress worker from Bengaluru.

The accused were remanded in police custody till March 6 by the 39th ACMM court judge. The police are investigating their social media accounts and have sent their mobile phones to the FSL for analysis. Over 40 persons have been questioned, and voice samples of more than 15 individuals have been collected in connection with the case.

The incident occurred during the victory celebration of Rajya Sabha member Syed Naseer Hussain on February 27. The accused raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans, leading to their arrest and ongoing investigation. It remains to be seen how the case unfolds as the police delve deeper into the matter.
