40-year-old gangster Sharad Mohol shot dead in Pune. Possible motives include gang rivalries and land ownership disputes. Investigation underway.
Unidentified assailants inflicted gunshots on Sharad Hiraman Mohol on Friday afternoon leading to his demise at the age of 40. Sharad Hiraman Mohol was a dangerous and notorious gangster whose demise occurred at Sutardara, Kothrud, Pune.
As per the reports, at Sutardara in Kothrud, around 1:30 PM, the attack occurred. Three to four assailants gathered up to fire at the notorious gangster from quarters nearby.
It is believed that the attack is linked to a brawl over ownership of land, moreover, it’s a result of some internal conflicts within the gang members of the 40-year-old gangster. Sharad Hiraman Mohol was quickly transferred to the hospital post-assault.
Police teams along with senior officials reached the crime spot in prompt action and started investigating the matter. Until now, the main suspect is Munna Polekar, alias Sahil.
Who was Sharad Hiraman Mohol?
Sharad Mohol was a 40-year-old gangster and a former wrestler. He gained recognition following the murder of Sandip Mohol, his relative at the Pune crime scene where he sought retribution. He was deeply engaged in legal issues. However, along with Swati, his wife who was a member of the BJP, he participated in various social activities.
There is not much information available about Mohol’s education and early life on the internet yet. However, as per confirmed sources, he was a resident of Sutardara and was born in 1984.
Sharad Mohol Background
Sharad Mohol’s background consists of a gruesome criminal record. His criminal record includes 15 serious offenses like dacoity and murder. In June 2012 for murdering Mohammad Qateel Siddiqui, he was acquitted of the charges in 2019.
In 2010, the murder of Kishor Marne, a gangster also held Mohol as the primary suspect. He was given a life imprisonment sentence. However, upon challenging the conviction in the Bombay High Court, he received bail.
