Puneet Issar to bring Ramayana to Broadway-style musical

Mumbai, Feb 22 (IANS) Puneet Issar, best known for his role as Duryodhana in ‘Mahabharat’, will showcase the Indian epic tale of ‘Ramayana’ in a musical titled ‘Jai Shri Ram – Ramayan’. The show, created and directed by Puneet Issar & Siddhant Issar, will premiere in the US and Canada after a successful run in India.

The 2 hour and 45-minute musical offers a captivating rendition of the epic with 13 original soundtracks and a live background score. Puneet Issar expressed his excitement about premiering the grandeur and mentioned the show’s portrayal of human relationships and values of humanity.

The Broadway-style spectacle features Puneet Issar as Raavan, Vindu Dara Singh as Hanuman, Shilpa Raizada as Sita, and Siddhant Issar as Ram. The show will grace multiple venues across the US and Canada from mid-April to May. Puneet Issar emphasized the show’s aim to celebrate Indian history, talent, and artistry on a global stage.
