Quickly addressed the issue: Google on ‘illegal’ AI responses to questions on PM Modi

Google has quickly addressed issues arising from its AI platform, Gemini, responding to PM Modi. The IT Ministry was set to issue a notice to Google over problematic responses. Gemini is being improved to respond better to current events and political topics.

Reports surfaced on Friday regarding objectionable responses from Google’s AI platform, Gemini, to PM Modi. Users criticized the AI’s responses on political figures as malicious. Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, pointed out violations of IT rules and criminal provisions.

In response to the controversy, Google has halted Gemini AI’s ability to generate images of people to address inaccuracies. The company is focused on enhancing the accuracy of AI responses. This move comes amid calls for action over the AI’s problematic and illegal responses to political figures.
