Rachel Maddow Tearfully Reacts To Meme Claiming Elon Musk ‘Bought’ MSNBC—Here’s The Real Story

The internet is agog with speculations that Elon Musk intends to acquire MSNBC. However, what has evoked more surprise and buzz is an alleged video which shows MSNBC presenter Rachel Maddow breaking down live on air and the video has since gone viral.

Also, there is unconfirmed news on social media especially X that Rachel has also agreed to a pay cut of $5 million as the future of the channel looks bleak.

After the video went viral the imagination of netizens went riot and many users on X suggested that Rachel Maddow was crying because Musk had posted memes pertaining to acquiring MSNBC.

The SpaceX CEO had posted a meme which was captioned,

“And lead us not into temptation….,”

The post also carried a picture of a woman who was bountifully endowed and a priest who was trying to protect his chastity.

Users then used the same meme which Musk uploaded to show Rachel Maddow getting emotional live on air.

One user posted the following message,

“Drama queen extraordinaire, Rachel Maddow, cries over a meme on national TV when she realises Elon could become her boss.”

A second user wrote,

“No he won’t be her boss, as he will sack her.”

A third user who was even more caustic wrote,

“And Rachel madCow earned US$30 MILLION per year to do a one hour show per week! It was recently reduced to US$25 MILLION a year,”

Another user was even more subtle and said,

“She’s crying because she knows her cash cow is coming to an end.”

Now the Moment of truth-The video depicting Rachel Maddow crying over Elon Musk’s meme about buying MSNBC is a farce and the original 2018 video was Rachel’s emotional response to news reports of how families of migrants were being separated. There were reports that parents were separated from their children at the US-Mexico border.

Also, there is no official confirmation of the intended purchase of MSNBC by Musk in the near future and it was just a joke which was affected by the Tesla chief with great effect.

However, the moment was seized by many of Rachel’s detractors and used to score brownie points.

Musk had also joked about buying Twitter and many wonder if the story is going to repeat with MSNBC also.

In this mele,e many other actors are also putting their bit and one example is podcaster Joe Rogan who joked that he is ready to get into the shoes and take Rachel Maddow’s job if Musk purchased MSNBC.
