Rahul Gandhi Lok Sabha Speech: Himanta Biswa Sarma Responds to Rahul Gandhi’s footwear remark, says – “Last to talk”

In a scathing rebuttal to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s footwear remark, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday slammed him for leveling allegations against Home Minister Amit Shah during his speech in Lok Sabha.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Biswa sarma wrote, “Mr. Rahul Gandhi, those who prefer to feed biscuits to dogs in the presence of leaders from Assam and then offer them the same biscuits should be the last people to talk about political decency. High command mindset is INC’s be-all and end-all. The people of India know it well.”

Let us tell you, During his speech in Lok Sabha on February 2, wedneday, Rahul Gandhi alleged that Amit Shah’s staff made a Manipuri delegation remove their footwear outside the home minister’s room while he himself was wearing chappals (Footwears).

Rahul’s accusation on home minister led to an uproar inside the Lok Sabha as MPs said “It is not true”. Rahul Gandhi Also replied on this stating, “I also told them that this is not true. But they told me they have some photographs.”

Let us tell you, Himanta Biswa Sarma, a leader from Assam who joined the BJP from Congress said – when he and a few Assam leaders went to meet Rahul Gandhi at house house, he was busy feeding biscuits to his dog Pidi and was not interested in the meeting them.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said at that meeting the Assam leaders were served with tea and biscuits and Rahul Gandhi’s dog went and picked one biscuit from the plate.

“A few minutes later, all leaders present there started taking biscuits from the same plate”, Himanta Biswa Sarma further said.
