Rahul Gandhi Trashes Exit Polls Results, Puts Forth ‘Moosewala’ Quip, BJP’s Calls It ‘Daydreaming’

The biggest electoral exercise in the world is finally over, and only 24 hours are left until it will be clear who will be crowned the winner of the Lok Sabha 2024 elections—The BJP-led NDA alliance or the Congress-led INDIA alliance.
Most of the exit polls are predicting a victory for the NDA alliance with divergence in the number of seats.
However, the INDIA alliance is dismissing the exit polls as a stunt and has dubbed them as ‘Modi media poll and fantasy poll’.
On the other hand, BJP is confident of its victory, and party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said the National Democratic Alliance will win 400 seats.
Rahul Gandhi Trashes Exit Polls Results
Interestingly, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi referred to late singer Sidhu Moosewala’s ‘295’ song and indicated that the INDIA alliance will eventually reach the target figure of 295 seats.
When asked about the exit poll results, Rahul Gandhi quipped,
‘Sidhu Moose Wala ka song suna hai aapne? (Have you heard Sidhu Moosewala’s song?)’
‘It is not an exit poll; it is a Modi media poll. It is his fantasy poll,’ he added.
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, reacting to Gandhi’s remark, said,
‘There is no bar for daydreaming in India. The exit polls are only reflecting the exact poll. We will cross 400 in Delhi (Centre) and 40 in Bihar.’
Union minister RK Singh joined Ravi Shankar Prasad, reacting to Gandhi’s remark, said,
‘We feel that we will get more seats than what is being shown in the exit polls and the INDIA alliance has understood this… Pakistan wants a weak leader in India, that is why they think that if people like Kejriwal or Rahul Gandhi come to power, then Pakistan will get a full chance to carry out terrorist attacks here again.’
The Congress-led INDIA bloc called the exit polls bogus, and it has also not participated in any of the Exit Polls discussions, claiming that it does not want to increase the TRP of the media houses.
Most leaders of the Congress are quite confident that their alliance will get 295 seats. KC Venugopal said that the alliance will certainly form the government.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that it is Impossible for the alliance not to get fewer than 295 seats.
