Raj BJP core committee discusses names for LS polls; next meeting in Delhi on Wed

The core committee meeting of the Rajasthan BJP was held in Jaipur on Tuesday evening at the Officers Training School, chaired by state unit chief C.P. Joshi. Discussions on Lok Sabha election candidates took place, with names to be finalized in Delhi on February 29.

During the meeting, BJP leaders discussed potential candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Central Election Committee meeting in Delhi on February 29 will further deliberate on these names before finalization.

Following the recent visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Rajasthan, this was the third core committee meeting. Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who had missed previous meetings, was in attendance at Tuesday’s meeting.

The first list of Lok Sabha candidates is expected to be announced after the Central Election Committee meeting on February 29. The central leadership has already conducted surveys, and the finalization of candidates is anticipated at the upcoming meeting.
