Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma assures that medical college construction will be given top priority by the government

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized the state government’s commitment to expanding and strengthening health services. He highlighted the importance of completing work on medical colleges promptly for improved healthcare access. Additionally, he mentioned the inclusion of day-care packages and cancer treatment under the CM Aayushman Aarogya Yojana to enhance healthcare services in the state.

In a virtual address at the foundation laying ceremony of a new Medical College and Hospital in Jaipur, CM Sharma expressed concerns about the slow pace of work on medical colleges during the previous government’s tenure. He highlighted the need to efficiently utilize funds received from the Central government for healthcare infrastructure development.

Commenting on the advancements in medical education post-2014, the Chief Minister noted a significant increase in the number of medical colleges across the country. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spearheading efforts that led to the development and global distribution of the Covid vaccine, underscoring India’s contribution to the fight against the pandemic.

JECRC Foundation President OP Agarwal, Vice President Amit Agarwal, as well as faculty members and students of the university, attended the event. The foundation laying ceremony of the Medical College and Hospital at JECRC University signifies a crucial step towards strengthening healthcare services and infrastructure in Rajasthan, in line with the government’s healthcare initiatives.
