In Jaipur on Sunday, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asserted that the credibility of the BJP government cannot be questioned, highlighting the fulfillment of promises like Article 370, Ram Mandir, CAA, and Triple Talaq. Singh also mentioned PM Modi’s vision for India to become a developed nation by 2047.
Singh emphasized the economic growth under the Modi government, stating that India has moved from the 11th to the fifth-largest economy in the world. He projected India to be amongst the top three nations by 2027, alongside America and China. Singh credited the NDA government for transforming the country from a state of despair to one with increased opportunities and prosperity.
The Defence Minister praised the Modi government’s tenure as a ‘golden period’ for India’s progress in various aspects including economics, politics, strategic affairs, constitutional reforms, and cultural development. Singh highlighted the decrease in imports, increase in exports, rising investments, reduced inflation, and the growth of income and opportunities in the country since 2014.
Singh criticized the Congress party, contrasting its unfulfilled promises with the BJP’s track record. He pointed out that 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty post-2014 and expressed confidence in PM Modi’s leadership. Singh also mentioned the One Nation, One Election policy as a result of the Prime Minister’s forward-thinking approach, which has garnered public support.
